I sent homework in students' green take-home folders for this week. It is a "get to know you" packet with some writing. This packet is due Friday morning. In addition to this, students homework is to read a book of their choice for 20 minutes nightly. There is no reading log this week.
Next week we will begin the regular homework that they will have throughout the year, which includes 20 minutes of reading and 5 math problems per day. In addition to this, it is optional for them to be proactive and use i-Ready reading or math at home for additional practice, reinforcement, or a challenge. Homework should be kept in the "right back to school" side of their green folders. Also, just a reminder that Back to School Night is this Thursday, August 23 at 6:30-7:00 (room 120) for 3rd-5th.
